Description[]

Press SPACEBAR to push the pumpkins and aim for the Monsters to crush them! Survive against the forces of the paranormal long enough to wake up from this Halloween nightmare.

Gameplay[]

There are two options for characters: a boy and a girl. The controls are always the arrow keys and the spacebar, although exclusive settings can be found.

There are 12 levels in 3 rows. Each level is divided into 4 parts, where one part is finished when all the creatures have been crushed by the pumpkins or any other "push-able" object. For example, if one is on Level 1-2, then, in order to reach Level 1-3, the player must crush all minions in that level. Once the player has completed all 4 parts of the level (the last part being completed always by defeating the boss(es), as once that is done, all other minions flee), then a report is shown telling the player how they have done.

The player starts off with 6 sets of lives, each set consisting of 5 hearts. A heart is lost when the player makes contact with a minion or a boss. When a set of lives is depleted, the player falls unconscious to the ground, re-spawning at the beginning of the column he/she was at. When all lives are taken, the player falls permanently to the ground, waking up on his or her bed, relieved that the whole thing was a nightmare. One must finish all 4 parts of a level with the same 6 sets of lives in order to complete the level and be able to move on to the next one.

Level 1 starts off simple, of course, featuring mummies with nails through them, ghosts, and owl-like creatures with forks as the monsters, and a witch with a fire-shooting weapon as the boss. The setup is purple-themed. Level 2 is in a blue arena, starring vampires, green skeletons, and blue one-eyed creatures. The boss is a jack-in-a-box. Level 3 is set up in a dark, grey platform, with ginger-breads, ghouls and cats; and the boss is a scythe-wielding embodiment of death. Level 4 features all of the minions that come in the previous levels, with a pumpkin knight as the boss. Its theme is a garden-like place.

Level 5 is set up in the same place as Level 1, although the pumpkins are arranged differently, and a mix of the different previous minions are found instead of new minions. In the second part of the level (5-2), there are two witches that one must defeat, although, unlike a 4th part of a level, once the witches are defeated, the minions do not flee and the player is required to crush them as well in order to move on to level 5-3. Level 5-4 features two bosses as well, one being the witch and the other being the jester/jack-in-the-box which debuted in Level 2. The other parts (5-1 and 5-3) are completed by crushing the different minions present in those parts.

Level 6 is blue-themed just like Level 2, and in 6-2 the player is faced up against two jack-in-the-boxes. The level's finale portrays the player facing up against a jack-in-the-box and an embodiment of death of Level 3. Level 7's theme is Level 3's, and 7-2 puts the player up against two of the cloaked scythe-users. In Level 7-4, the bosses are one embodiment of death and one pumpkin knight. Level 8 is in garden, just like its corresponding Level 4. Level 8-2 requires the player to defeat one pumpkin knight and any other minions present to move on, and Level 8-4 is completed after the two pumpkin knights there are defeated.

Level 9 is placed in Level 1's background; in 9-2 the player is to defeat 3 witches, and in 9-4 he or she must kill 2 witches and 1 jack-in-the-box. Level 10 is, of course, set up in the blue background, like Levels 2 and 6, and 10-2 is completed by eliminating three jack-in-the-boxes, while 10-4 is finished at the death of two jack-in-the-boxes and an embodiment of death. Level 11 is gray themed, the 2nd part of which is completed by killing three scythe-wielding embodiments of death, and the last part by terminating 2 scythe-wieldresses and 1 pumpkin knight. The last level is set up in the garden. 12-2 is completed by putting an end to two pumpkin knights, and 12-4 by three of the same. After this is done, the boy/girl wakes up from the nightmare.
